Put Community First!

Are you tired of politics as usual in Tualatin? Well, so am I!
I hear the phrases “citizen involvement” and “I care for our neighborhoods” thrown out right and left, but sadly too often actions of some of the City Council don’t reflect the rhetoric. That’s why I’m stepping up to run for Tualatin City Council. I’m here to represent you, the resident who has little voice in the City's decision-making process and the business owner whose viability depends on how we choose to grow as a city.

Tualatin has experienced significant growth in the last ten years in terms of population, industry and commerce. We now find ourselves at a crossroads and the decisions we make will shape our City for at least a generation to come. Ask yourself, “What do we want our legacy to be?” Unchecked traffic and growth? Citizens left out of the decision making process? Or, a collaborative environment that consistently works to support and balance the needs of our neighborhoods and business, while safeguarding our green spaces?

Together, a new direction. Don’t let these important decisions rest in the hands of a few people who have demonstrated too often they do not share your interests and concerns. Join me, Jan Giunta, in building a livable Tualatin that embraces authentic community involvement, which balances the needs of our neighborhoods with those of commerce, while safeguarding our parks and natural spaces.
